Review: Dostoevsky-San Honestly - this is a movie I started watching with great caution. Partly because of the fear that Dostoevsky adaptations bad, partly because of the stupid Russian pride, they say, our writer, and only we can understand in all his grandeur and depth. I want to say at once, that neither the first, nor the second fears were not realized. Because Kurosawa took really great movie, after more than 50 years it looks as interesting, amazing and fresh, but at times a bit naive. But moreover, that the movie is good so it is also a film adaptation of amazing. As to 'understand Russian writer' and is not necessary to speak, Kurosave managed to do it better than Pyirevu and Bortko.
