甘草（Liquorice，學名：Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch.），多年生草本植物，屬豆（Leguminosae）。其乾燥根及地下根狀莖，可臨床運用於滋潤緩和，中和烈藥，解毒、鎮痛、解痙、矯味、鎮咳袪痰等。在方劑中常作為佐使藥。 性狀： 甘草原產於歐洲南部，其莖幹挺拔直立，根呈圓柱狀，直徑有3-4公分，巨大的則有5-6公分，高一米多，最長者達3-4米；葉約有7-15公分長(3-6吋)。通常一株甘草有9-17塊葉。花有0.8–1.2公分(1/3至1/2吋)長，呈紫藍色。果實2–3公分(約1吋)長，深秋時會散播籽粒隨風繁殖。 甘草主要生長於乾旱的荒漠草原裡...More
